Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5, 1956, at Woodland Hills California. Her father taught school and her mom was a housewife. Michael Dennis Kevin is her older brother. She has three siblings. McCormick always enjoyed performing, dancing and performing puppet shows. In the year she turned 6years old, she won at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called McCormick to inquire whether the actress was interested in a career in show business. McCormick was chosen to play in her first big role in 1964 in the tv spot for Mattels latest doll Baby Pattaburp. In the same year, she starred in a second commercial on television for Chatty-Cathy's doll. After that, she was commissioned by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children who auditioned for the role of the eldest towheaded daughter in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom featured Florence Henderson and Robert Reed, newlyweds who had the same family as a blended one. The show lasted for five seasons. McCormick revealed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year run on the program. He was 19 years old. She was 16. The woman said it might be possible, however we never had the right timing.
