Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids was born in Woodland Hills, California in 1956. Her father taught in the school system and her mom was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her three elder siblings. McCormick was a talented singer and performer from an early age. Her passion was to show puppet shows to entertain her friends. In the year she turned six, McCormick was crowned at the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley competition. Pat Domigan from the Jack Wormser Agency then called her to ask if the actress would be keen to work in show business. McCormick found her first role as a leading actress in 1964. She starred in a commercial for Mattels new doll, Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial and was then cast for Wind It Up and It's Breaks by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick, who was selected from over 1200 auditioning children to play the oldest of three double-headed daughters in The Brady Bunch (1969) which starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. McCormick wrote in her book from 2008 Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice that she was close to having lost her virginity during the fifth season with Barry Williams, her co-star as well as her on-screen brother. She was 16 years old when the incident occurred; he was 19. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time wasn't the right time for us.
