Maureen Denise McCormick, the only daughter of Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father was a schoolteacher and her mom was a stay-at-home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two older brothers. McCormick is always a fan of singing, dancing and creating performances with puppets. McCormick won her first contest, the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 and was approached through Pat Domigan, a talent agent of the Jack Wormser Agency. She was featured in an advertisement for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The following year she appeared in another commercial for the companys Chatty Cathy doll and was soon cast in the play The Wind It Up And It breaks at the La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch In 1969 McCormick was picked from a field of 1,200 kids who auditioned for the chance to play the eldest of three daughters towheaded on the new TV sitcom The Brady Bunch starring Florence Henderson as well as Robert Reed as newlyweds with a blended family. The show ran for five years. McCormick admitted in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published in 2008) that McCormick almost lost her virginity with Barry Williams during the five-year duration of the show. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene; he was 19. The incident could have occurred, she said but the timing wasn't right for us.
