Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids - was born at Woodland Hills in the year 1956. Her father worked as a school teacher while her mother was an at-home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick started singing and performing from a young age. When she was just six years old, older, she was crowned her first prize in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency approached her and asked if she'd like to go into show business. McCormick was offered her first major job when she was cast in the 1964 television commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later she appeared in another company's Chatty Cathy Doll and was soon cast in The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick, chosen from more than 1500 auditioned children, was cast as the oldest of three double-headed daughters, in The Brady Bunch (1969), starring Florence Henderson and Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. McCormick disclosed in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick was close to losing her Virginity to Barry Williams during the five-year period on the program. The actress was only 16 when the incident occurred and he was just 19. It would have happened she stated, but the time was never right for us.
