Maureen Denise McCormick - the youngest of Richard McCormick's kids was born in Woodland Hills, California in the year 1956. Her mother was at home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick was a gifted singer and performer from an early age. She would put on shows with puppets for her neighbors. She won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest when she was just 6 years old and was then contacted via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He requested that she be interested to work in the show business. Her first major role came in 1964 when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. The year that followed, she appeared in a second commercial on television for Chatty-Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the role of the character Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. The series lasted 5 years. McCormick said in her 2008 book Heres the Story : Surviving Marcia Brady & Finding My True Voice she almost ended her relationship in the fifth season of the show with Barry Williams, her co-star and on-screen brother. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book, Here's the story: Surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice that in season five on the show, she nearly lost her virginity to Barry Williams. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time wasn't the right time for us.
